Colleagues, friends and family of Stephen Woodroffe gathered at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on Monday 23rd December 2024, to celebrate his life and pay tribute to this incredible person.  

Steve was well known in many circles, particularly in the theatre and entertainment industry where he excelled as a lighting designer, system solutions expert and general problem-solving genius.  

He was part of the extended Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre family, having worked there as a technician in the 1980's.  Steve maintained his link with the Sneddon and all who have worked there since, and became a loved and trusted friend who we could call on for advice or help at any time. 

Steve had a wicked sense of humour, a heart of gold, and was a consumate gentleman - always positive despite physical challenges over the years; level-headed, talented, extraodinarily creative, kind and humble. 

We have hung a picture of Steve at the backstage entrance, and like to think he's still keeping a watchful eye on us.  Our thoughts remain with his beloved Michele and Jay.  Steve, we will never forget you or the wonderful example you set.
