Aladdin show time changes

Please note that due to the ongoing and unpredictable threat of load-shedding throughout December and January, the producers of Aladdin have made a decision to move all 2.30pm performances to 1.30pm.  This is based on the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre and UKZN's current configuration to block L, which results in the power being cut off at 4pm in the event of load-shedding.  Computicket have been informed and should be contacting all customers who have already bought tickets.

We have looked into other methods of solving this crisis - including the use of a temporary generator.  Unfortunately, this would entail a special interface panel being manufactured for our substation, which cannot be done until the suppliers re-open next year.  A permanent installation of a generator for our building will cost in the region of R400 000, in addition to monthly maintenance costs and diesel costs.  This is prohibitively expensive for a non-profit venue.
